WHAT'S COMING...

I wanted to let everyone know that in the next two weeks I'm going to be interviewing Diann Hunt and Brandilyn Collins. I have a few books to give away and I'm really looking forward to learning some interesting tidbits about these ladies.

On a personal note, my husband had a job interview. I'm praying we'll be blessed with good news soon. I'm sure it will work out. That's what I keep telling myself. =)

I hope you'll stop by next week to see what these talented authors have been up to.

STRETCHING

So I'm going through the warm-up. Trying to get those spiritual muscles ready...What? You thought I was talking about exercise?? Nope, I'm talking about those times in our lives when God takes us out of our comfort zones and stretches us. I'm getting ready to go through one of those times.

My husband came home yesterday and told me he would be out of a job as of June. Uh, okay...hard to know what to say to that. I've already had a few stresses this month. Let alone the fact that this is the second time in five years that we've been through this. The only difference is this time our mortgage is much bigger. Sigh. I keep telling myself we'll be fine, I'm sure of it...almost. ;)

I've been wondering if I'm getting out of spiritual shape. Maybe I'm not as tone as I once was. Have I been less dedicated to my devotions? Maybe my attitude has been less than great. I know that I need to work on consistency in my daily walk. I know that I need to work on my attitude. I think that's why I love the verse I have posted here on the blog. Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. I love that. A constant reminder right there in the Bible to keep watch over my mouth and my thoughts. Doesn't get much clearer than that.

I'll leave you with two more favorites. Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. And finally, Romans 8:39 Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Any of you have a favorite verse you want to share? Any spiritual exercise you like to go through to get back in shape?
